Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance do I need to order a container?
We ask for a 24-hour notice when possible. Same day service is
possible if it is called in early enough. Please call 207-646-3222
to schedule your container.
Do you automatically pick up the container after a certain amount of time?
Not usually, unless the customer specifies a certain pick-up date at
the time the order is placed. Most customers keep it until they
are through, and then call to schedule the removal date.
How do you charge for roll-off containers?
A deposit is required when you order a roll-off container. The
deposit covers the delivery & removal charge, the haul fee, one
week's rental, and a dump fee for a pre-determined amount of weight
(i.e. between 1 and 5 ton) depending on the size of the container.
If the container weighs more than the pre-determined amount, there
will be an extra charge per ton (pro-rated) for that extra weight.
If the container is kept longer than one week, there is an
additional fee per week to cover the the rental.
Are there any materials which may not be place in the container?
Yes. Seacoast Waste is unable to accept any hazardous waste,
including, but not limited to: medical waste, biohazardous waste,
oil-based paint, stains, paint thinner and other solvents, gas or
oil, asbestos, etc. Some examples of items that are considered
"hazardous" that we can accept with prior authorization, are items
such as refrigerators/freezers and/or airconditioners (because of
the freon they contain), propane tanks, televisions/computer
monitors (because of the mercury they contain), tires, etc. Please
check with us at the time of the order to make sure that everything
you plan on putting in the container is allowed, and if so, if there
is going to be an extra charge for same.
